A bird rests among dogwood blossoms on the dial of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Rendez-Vous Jewellery Night & Day. Behind it, a painted sun and moon pass through their daily cycle. The scene is miniature in scale, yet its layers give it a striking sense of depth: lacquer painting on a transparent sapphire dial sits above the rotating disc, bringing the watch’s decorative and timekeeping functions into the same composition.
Limited to ten pieces, this interpretation is housed in a 34mm platinum case. An Asian Paradise Flycatcher and Korean Dogwood flowers are painted one brushstroke at a time, while the disc beneath completes a rotation every 24 hours. It is a day-and-night indication, rather than a moon-phase display, with the changing image giving the dial a different atmosphere as the hours pass.
The gem-setting is equally considered. Forty-eight baguette-cut diamonds circle the bezel, complemented by brilliant-cut stones on the case sides and lugs. Within the dial, an oval line of diamonds frames the painted scene, and the collection’s Floral numerals form an asymmetric crescent above it. The self-winding Calibre 733, with a 70-hour power reserve and a 22-carat gold rotor, is visible through the sapphire caseback.
Introduced alongside this miniature tableau, the Rendez-Vous Hour-Minute distils the collection into a 29mm design in steel or pink gold. Its polished bezel surrounds a textured dial with Floral numerals and twelve diamond hour markers. Powered by the quartz Calibre 657, the watch measures 7.47mm thick. The steel version’s flexible lozenge-link bracelet and the pink-gold model’s taupe alligator strap create two distinct ways of wearing it.

Together, the models show how far the Rendez-Vous language can extend. The Jewellery Night & Day brings painting, mechanics and gem-setting into close conversation, while the Hour-Minute gives the same family of forms a quieter daily rhythm.
