Repossi’s Limited Edition No.9 treats the earring as a small piece of sculpture. Made in dark grey gold and produced in a numbered run of 15, the new design builds its presence through an enlarged curve that wraps around the earlobe, bringing an unusually frontal view to the jewel.
Its colour is integral to the effect. Anthracite reflections give the gold a cool, almost industrial appearance, while a line of pavé diamonds follows the form. In the supplied still-life photographs, the dark surface and bright setting pull attention towards the opening at the centre, making the space within the earring part of its design.

A curve with an archival connection
The piece belongs to Repossi’s twice-yearly Limited Editions programme, through which Gaia Repossi and the creative studio develop concept jewels in restricted runs. For No.9, the house connects the mounting and setting to designs by Gaia’s father, Alberto Repossi, and to the generous ear jewels of the 1960s and 1970s referenced in his archive.
That relationship is expressed through proportion. The outline is substantial, but its open centre prevents the silhouette from becoming a solid block. Seen from the side, the earring’s construction also reveals how much of the idea depends on its relationship to the ear. It is a design intended to be understood both as an object and when worn.

Fifteen numbered pieces
The September 2026 release continues a family story that began in Turin in 1957, when Costantino Repossi opened his first boutique. Alberto later brought the house to Monte Carlo, followed by its establishment on Place Vendôme in 1986. The current studio’s interest in architecture and contemporary art gives that history a distinctly graphic expression.
No.9 makes its argument through one concentrated form: dark gold, diamond light and a curve whose scale changes the outline of the ear. The house has announced availability through Repossi boutiques, with each of the 15 pieces individually numbered.
