PINK MADI’s arrival in Dubai begins with a connection between fashion and beauty. Founded by Moroccan-Spanish designer and entrepreneur Madiha Abaida, the women’s salon on Umm Suqeim Street in Al Barsha 2 brings Moroccan beauty rituals into a broader offering of contemporary salon services. It officially opened on 1 October, introducing a concept shaped by its founder’s heritage and international career.
That heritage was part of the opening itself. Moroccan dancers, traditional henna and food accompanied the launch, giving guests an introduction to the cultural references behind the brand. Jeremy Meeks joined Abaida for the celebration, alongside guests from the worlds of media, fashion and business. The occasion marked the first public chapter of a project that carries its founder’s name.

A designer’s next chapter
Abaida was born in Casablanca and raised in Spain. Before establishing PINK MADI, she founded the fashion label Extremedy, developing a wardrobe that brought streetwear influences together with a luxury sensibility. Her work explored individuality and women’s self-expression, themes that now provide a connection between her fashion background and the new beauty business.
Her professional life has taken her through Europe and the United States, while Dubai became a base for her fashion production. The move into a salon draws on a different part of that experience: the attention given to an individual and the way a setting can shape an appointment. In the launch announcement, Abaida described the atmosphere she wanted to create as “warm, feminine and full of personality.”

Moroccan rituals, a wider beauty menu
The service list brings hair, head-spa treatments and nail appointments together with Moroccan hammam and massage. Manicures and pedicures form part of the offering, with the salon positioning beauty and wellness within a single destination. These services give Moroccan influences an ongoing place in the salon’s offering.
For Abaida, the Al Barsha address is also a starting point for a larger business. The launch announcement sets out an ambition to develop PINK MADI into an international beauty brand. For now, the focus is this first Dubai salon: a new expression of a designer’s interest in women, personal style and the details of hospitality.
