Force 10’s identity rests on the meeting of two elements: a cable and a buckle. First introduced in 1966, the design drew on Fred Samuel’s love of sailing, bringing a steel cable together with yellow gold. Sixty years later, FRED is marking that anniversary with new pieces that give the same idea different proportions and ways of moving.
The most adaptable addition is a sliding necklace within Force 10 Rise. The line, introduced in 2025, places the cable and buckle alongside one another in a motif highlighted by diamonds. The new necklace adds an invisible adjustment mechanism, allowing its long chain to be arranged with even ends or an asymmetrical line.
A motif that changes position
Made in yellow, pink or white gold, the sliding necklace can be worn towards the front or along an open back. FRED also presents it with the original Force 10 Rise necklace, showing how the same design language can be layered at different lengths. The campaign photograph makes that relationship clear, placing the fine chains against a simple neckline.

The earrings take the collection in another direction. Force 10 Precious Small introduces its first hoops, turning the cable into a curved gold form and pairing it with a semi-pavé diamond buckle. The release also presents pendant earrings in yellow gold, with the buckle fully set with white diamonds.

These additions concentrate on how a recognisable design can change through placement, scale and articulation. The sliding chain gives the wearer control over its line; the hoop turns a cable into a compact curve. The result remains closely tied to Force 10’s original construction, with the buckle continuing to give each piece its graphic centre.
