Onyx gives Boucheron’s Serpent Bohème a particularly assured graphic presence. Paired with yellow gold, its deep black surface sharpens the collection’s familiar motif, while polished metal catches and redirects the light. The result is a study in proportion and finish that feels especially compelling in the larger, sculptural pieces.
A maison signature since 1968, Serpent Bohème receives twelve designs in this gold-and-onyx interpretation. The collection follows the visual idea of an eclipse, with dark and luminous surfaces defining one another. Its Shadow and Light campaign places the jewellery against skin and a shifting division of shade, giving that relationship an immediate physical form.
Five pieces introduce faceted onyx across a necklace, ring, single earring, bracelet and watch. The watch places the stone at the dial, framed by yellow gold and diamonds and finished with a black calfskin strap. Across the jewellery, the contrast between the stone and its gold setting gives the motif a crisp outline.

Three further designs allow polished yellow gold to occupy the space traditionally held by a stone. A pendant, stud earrings and a ring draw their character from the metal’s reflective surface. With the colour palette reduced, the familiar shape takes on a more sculptural quality.

Claire Choisne’s four combined-material creations bring the collection’s two sides into direct conversation. An XXL bracelet and ring, together with a pendant and brooch, pair onyx with polished gold. Their generous scale makes the meeting of the materials the focal point, allowing a single piece to carry considerable presence.

These larger designs offer the clearest expression of the collection’s appeal: a strong silhouette, rich colour and a surface that changes with the light. Worn alone or alongside other Serpent Bohème pieces, they extend an enduring Boucheron vocabulary with a darker, bolder rhythm.
