Repossi’s Sphere Earring brings three rounded forms close to the face: two grey pearls and a dark, diamond-covered bead. Together, they give the jewel a compact, sculptural presence. Introduced in 2025 as Limited Edition No.7, the design carries Gaia Repossi’s interest in floating elements into a new arrangement of pearls, gold and diamonds.

The construction is intended to be read from the front. Generous curves surround the earlobe, positioning the gems and pearls so that they gently brush the jawline. Repossi connects the design to its Pearl Variation ring and to the floating-diamond language of Serti sur Vide. Here, the rounded elements become the focus, changing the silhouette of the ear through their placement and contrasting proportions.

A bead in black gold is pavéd with nearly 200 diamonds. Its textured surface sits beside two grey pearls of Tahitian and Australian origin, whose different tones introduce a softer contrast. In the supplied close-up, the diamond-covered sphere appears more granular than the smooth pearls, giving each element its own way of catching the light.
The surrounding structure is crafted in champagne gold, a hue the house describes as lying between white and yellow gold. Its warmth is subtle beside the darker bead and cool pearl surfaces. The mounting is also visible in the product photography, revealing how the curved form holds the three rounded elements around the lobe.

Announced as a run of 15 pieces, the Sphere Earring belongs to Repossi’s twice-yearly Limited Editions programme. The house links its pearl treatment to designs from its history through the 1970s, while giving the material a distinctly contemporary outline. The result is a concentrated study in repetition: three spheres, each with a different surface, held within one sculptural curve.
