Taller Marmo sets the scene for Mediterranea at sunrise, in an imagined villa somewhere along the Mediterranean coast. Strangers have gathered for an after-party, and the collection follows the shifting mood between an evening that has run late and the first light of a new day. The narrative gives Spring 2027 a sense of intimacy and movement, expressed through clothes made for an unhurried kind of dressing up.
The palette follows that changing light. Pearl, silver and buttermilk move through terracotta, rust and coral before deepening into date brown. Evening kaftans, halter necklines and asymmetrical hems extend the house’s familiar silhouettes, while blouson-inspired shapes add another dimension to its generous volumes.

Marine references woven into cloth
The material research gives the Mediterranean idea a tangible foundation. Silk-chiffon fil coupé fabrics were selected from the archives of a historic silk mill in Como, with designs from the 1960s and 1970s depicting starfish, corals and fish. Cloqué jacquards with Lurex accents, metallic organza and dimensional sequins continue the marine references through texture and light.
Fringes and ostrich-feather boas introduce movement at the edges of the garments. In Francesco Scotti’s campaign photographs, a pale, flowing look is framed by a sweep of feathers, while darker metallic fabric catches the warm light of the interior. The images place the clothes within the collection’s fictional gathering, making their movement part of the story.

A wardrobe between resort and evening
Mediterranea also introduces knitwear, developed with specialist makers as an extension of Taller Marmo’s signature shapes. The pareo recurs across dresses, trousers and swimwear, giving a simple wrapped form several different roles. Matching swimwear and pareos explore trompe-l’œil effects, while hand-knotted fringes add another crafted surface.
Bandana headscarves and oversized shawls inspired by Manila mantons complete the collection. Together, the pieces create a continuous wardrobe between the beach, the villa and the evening, with the most distinctive moments carried by fabric, proportion and the gesture of putting something on.
